What’s Kanazawa

A city where cultural and historical characteristics blend with modern urban functions

Kanazawa and Ishikawa Prefecture are castle towns where history and culture live on as the castle town of the Kaga Domain. While historical buildings such as Kenrokuen Garden and Kanazawa Castle and old streetscapes such as Higashi Chaya District remain, modern commercial facilities and art museums are also lined up. It is a charming city where tradition and modernity coexist in harmony.
